Welcome to my Website

After many years of trying, I have finally acquired jacy.ca and jacyeberlein.com. If you go to either of those addresses, this is where you'll end up.

I currently have both my portfolio and collections of typewriters available from the links at the top. My portfolio contains all of the writing, designs, and other creative work that I think is fit to print. My typewriter collection has both my current and past typewriters, as well as typewriters I have repaired for clients. Each of those is continually being updated. Just click through and click on an image to be taken to the work or typewriter in question.

About

I, Jacy Eberlein, am a twenty-two year old English Major at the University of Alberta, in my fifth year. I focus academically on violence theory across genres and mediums. My preferred medium is graphic novels and other graphic narratives, which I feel are under-represented in critical academic theory. Some of my past papers can be found in the portfolio section of my site.

My Hobbies include typewriting, repairing typewriters, repairing fountain pens, design, website construction, reading and drawing comics. Over the past few years I have collected a number of typewriters and fine fountain pens. I have been designing and constructing websites since I was eleven, when I was concentrating on creating a webcomic, and was using Microsoft Frontpage. Since then, my skills have improved considerably. In middle school I took up graphic design and video production, the skills from which I have continued to use to this day.

In 2015, I took a trip to Cortona, Italy for classes. It has affected my life profoundly, so be warned: I am likely bring it up even now.
